Legionella
One of the more dangerous and sometimes fatal issues associated with stagnant water is the growth of bacteria Legionella. Legionella can cause the respiratory diseases legionellosis (legionnaires disease) and Pontiac syndrome. Legionellosis in immune compromised people can sometimes be fatal. Water systems that have areas with stagnant water can lead to low or undetectable levels of chlorine which provides a suitable habitat for Legionella to grow. We have experience and helped set up a sampling/mitigation plan for Legionella control in a hospital, which includes adding a secondary disinfectant. The CDC recommends testing and identifying areas in buildings for potential Legionella growth that have been affected by Covid-19. If your building is reopening please let us help keep your employees safe. We can provide specialized Legionella sampling and testing with results in as soon as 30 minutes.
No mater how big or small, residential or commercial we can test and manage your building for Legionella!
Are you concerned about Legionella in your hot water tank? We can test that too.
